Do you share our passion for renewable energy for a greener and sustainable future? We are currently looking to recruit a High Voltage Maintenance Technician on a Permanent basis to join our team working across our windfarms in the UK and Ireland.
What will you be doing?
- Commissioning and testing High Voltage and Low Voltage equipment such as cables, transformers and switchgear.
- Maintaining High Voltage and Low Voltage equipment.
- Electrical fault finding and investigation.
- Operating and providing permits for High Voltage switching/isolations.
- Replacing High Voltage components such as switchgear and transformers.
- Writing Risk Assessment, Method Statements and Work Instructions.
What are we looking for?
- The ideal candidate will be qualified to Engineering Level (HND/HNC) or equivalent and has completed Electrical Commissioning training (off and on job).
- You will be experienced at electrical fault finding and interrogation relays and have previous experience of being a SAP (Senior Authorised Person).
- You will have a good understanding of HV electrical networks and of HV and LV protection and the ability to program and interrogate protection relays.
- You will be qualified for working at heights within the turbine towers and nacelle and hold a full driving licence.
- This role requires someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills as you will be required to investigate and write detailed reports.
- You must also be computer literate with the ability to use MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
- This role covers sites across UK & Ireland and therefore will require significant travel and time away from home. Typically, you should expect to be out on site 5 days per week.
