Wind Turbine Service Technician – Haslingden
Nordex Group is seeking a Wind Turbine Service Technician in Haslingden. The role is permanent and involves 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm) with on‑call availability for weekends. Overtime and weekend duties are paid at time and a half.
Key Responsibilities
- On‑site performance analysis and implementation of action plans.
- Work closely with technicians and back‑office staff to demonstrate on‑the‑job procedures.
- Support on‑site single turbine improvements and provide software & hardware updates.
- Offer online and telephone technical support.
- Create reports on turbines or individual components.
- Handle parameter disabling and alarm change management when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Mechanical or Electrical experience with ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagrams.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical trade.
- Problem‑solving skills to analyse data and develop solution plans.
- Adaptability to continuous change and differing challenges.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, lead and improve.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office, in‑house databases and workload systems.
- Fit and healthy, able to pass a working‑at‑height test (up to 140 m).
- Occasional travel, including overnight stays.
- UK/EU full driving licence.
