Nordex Group is seeking a Wind Turbine Service Technician based in Douglas, South Lanarkshire. This is a permanent position with core hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend on-call duties. Overtime is paid at time and a half, and on-call weekends include additional compensation.
The technician will service and maintain Nordex wind turbines, perform troubleshooting, repairs, and data analysis to ensure high turbine availability. Responsibilities include:
- On-site performance analysis
- Software and hardware updates
- Technical support
- Report creation
Ideal candidates will have mechanical or electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent), experience reading technical diagrams, and the ability to work at heights up to 140m. A full UK/EU driving license and willingness to travel are required.
