Vice President Industrial Engineering & R&D – Blades
(m/f/d), you define and execute the global strategy for blade manufacturing technologies, industrialization, and process innovation at Nordex.
You lead international teams across Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Process Engineering, Product Industrialization, and R&D while ensuring new blade technologies are ready for safe, efficient, and scalable serial production.
The role serves as a key interface between Engineering and Operations and contributes to quality, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
- YOUR TASKS
- Define and execute the global Industrial Engineering & R&D strategy for blade manufacturing aligned with business objectives
- Lead the development and industrialization of new blade technologies, materials, manufacturing processes, and production technologies
- Ensure new blade designs achieve Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL) and Design-for-Manufacturing requirements before serial production
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, yield, and manufacturing cost optimization
- Establish governance, validation, testing, qualification, and risk management processes for technology development and industrialization activities
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams to align technology and business priorities
- Lead and develop global Industrial Engineering and R&D teams while driving innovation, standardization, and operational excellence across manufacturing sites
YOUR PROFILE
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Product Development, Technology Development, or R&D within wind turbine blades and composite materials
- Proven success leading global engineering, industrialization, manufacturing technology, or innovation organizations in multinational environments
- Demonstrated track record delivering large‑scale technology, manufacturing, automation, or transformation programs
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), digital engineering, simulation, and advanced analytics
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, DFMEA, PFMEA, regulatory compliance, certification requirements, and risk management
- Solid understanding of LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies combined with strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
