Responsibilities
- Understanding Application Architectures and Systems Design, pro-actively making recommendations on simplifying and improving clients products.
- Finding opportunities to exploit cloud native technologies with clients' products.
- Being part of designing and delivering cloud-native applications that deliver on key architectural requirements (scalability, reliability, observability, secure etc.) and DevOps best practices.
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support to the development teams and other architects.
- Designing applications that can be supported and maintained.
Qualifications
- Strong background in AWS, understanding a breadth of key technologies. Some key technology areas for us are Serverless, Private Networking, NoSQL and Kubernetes.
- Experience building and orchestrating containers.
- Experience hosting and deployment of applications (CI Pipelines, Web Servers, DNS Configuration, Certificates etc).
- Experience in software development in a major language and API framework.
- Experienced in developing automations in at least one scripting language (Bash, Powershell etc). Scripting in a Linux environment is preferred.
- Hands-on ability with Terraform.
- Experience designing, implementing and regularly testing disaster recovery strategies (RPO/RTO definition, failover/failback, DR runbooks).
- Collaborating with security teams on penetration testing, remediation of findings and hardening of infrastructure and pipelines.
- Setting up, monitoring and routinely validating backup and restore processes for applications, infrastructure and data, including periodic recovery drills.
- Taking an active operational role in major incidents, leading or driving incident calls, coordinating technical teams, and following through on resolution and post-incident actions.
- Working primarily in DevOps while also handling data-related activities such as data refreshes and anonymization/masking for non-production environments.
- Experience managing and automating data operations on cloud-native data services (for example DynamoDB, Athena or similar services), including performance optimization, capacity management and housekeeping.
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for both application and data platforms (e.g. schema migrations, data jobs, analytics workloads).
- Applying security, compliance and governance best practices across DevOps processes and data platforms (access control, secrets management, auditability).
- Great communicator and responsible team player, this role is client facing.

- Hands-on experience with major Test Automation frameworks is a big plus.
