Your daily responsibilities
- As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will help build clients’ cloud platforms, pipelines, and tooling.
- You will work directly with customers and must be able to explain technical content to people who might be less familiar with the technology.
- Delivering quality solutions is more important than just 'getting the job done'.
- This means participating in various customer projects, from new infrastructure builds and migrations to audits and big data.
- Engineers are responsible for the detailed technical design of solutions (e.g. what tech and how) as well as implementation, engineering best practices, and cloud/DevOps engineering work.
- Engineers can design and implement an excellent technical solution based on cloud platforms & relevant 3rd party tools.
- The main part of the work is designing and implementing cloud infrastructure mainly as code (infrastructure as code, application deployments, configuration management, etc.).
Experience and skills
- Experience with CI/CD-based environments; familiarity with serverless architectures.
- Experience developing with microservices, Lambda Functions, Appsync, DynamoDB, Queues, etc.
- At least 3 years of cloud developing large-scale distributed cloud systems.
- AWS deployment techniques SAM templates, YAML, and code deployments.
- Core AWS services that support applications, such as EKS, Databases, S3, EC2 etc.
- Hands-on advanced experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI/CD) and experience around DevOps / FinOps is desired.
