Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit an Early Years Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar. We are looking for a warm, creative and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our growing team, helping to build an exceptional play-based and inquiry-led learning environment for our youngest students within the IB PYP Early Years framework.
The role:
- Planning and delivering engaging, play-based and inquiry-led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years framework
- Creating and maintaining a nurturing, safe and stimulating learning environment where all children feel valued and inspired
- Assessing and tracking children's development using observations and portfolio evidence; using this to inform next steps
- Building strong, collaborative partnerships with parents and families through regular communication and engagement
- Contributing to the planning, reflection and review of units of inquiry in collaboration with the Early Years team
- Promoting the IB learner profile, international-mindedness and the PYP attitudes in all aspects of classroom practice
- Supporting children's wellbeing, independence and social-emotional development
- Contributing positively to the wider EGA school community, including CPD, school events and improvement activities
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- A recognised teaching qualification in Early Years, primary or early childhood education (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent)
- Experience teaching in an Early Years setting with children aged 3-6, ideally within an IB or international school
- Knowledge of the IB PYP Early Years framework or equivalent inquiry-based early years curriculum
- A strong understanding of child development theory and play-based, child-initiated learning approaches
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, nurturing approach to working with young children and families
- A commitment to inclusive practice and the wellbeing of all children
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- International school experience desirable
