Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Facilities Manager to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. EGA is a newly established IB World School offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the school's buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment that supports teaching, learning, and the wider school community.
The role:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the school estate, ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and fit for purpose.
- Planning and coordinating planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs and overseeing reactive maintenance.
- Coordinating statutory inspections, testing and certification, and supporting internal and external audits.
- Managing contractors and service providers working on site, ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.
- Supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of refurbishment and capital improvement projects.
- Maintaining asset registers, equipment records, and maintenance histories to support effective lifecycle management.
- Supporting the management of facilities budgets and procurement activities, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Providing facilities support for school events, examinations, and emergency situations.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
- Experience managing facilities operations within a complex operational environment.
- Experience coordinating maintenance programs and contractors.
- Good understanding of building maintenance, statutory compliance, and facilities management.
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM), FMP or equivalent desirable.
- NEBOSH, IOSH or Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) desirable.
- Experience within an education environment and/or the GCC desirable.
