Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Student Support Specialist to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. EGA is a newly established IB World School offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are looking for an experienced Student Support Specialist to deliver targeted academic intervention to students identified through the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and provide ESL instruction for identified multilingual learners.

The role:

  • Delivering targeted academic intervention to students identified through the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
  • Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention through small-group and individualized instruction in literacy and mathematics
  • Planning and delivering English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction for identified multilingual learners
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers to plan, implement, and monitor differentiated instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Monitoring student progress using multiple data sources, including MAP Growth and classroom assessments
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing Student Support Plans (SSPs) in collaboration with teachers and families
  • Participating in Student Support Team meetings, case reviews, and collaborative planning sessions
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and school leadership regarding student progress and support strategies

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Teaching qualification/license recognized by the school
  • Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive school setting
  • Experience delivering literacy and/or mathematics intervention
  • Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL/EAL) is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of MTSS/RTI, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and inclusive educational practices
  • Experience using student assessment data to inform instruction and monitor progress
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
