Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a MYP Coordinator to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable MYP Coordinator to lead the implementation and ongoing development of the MYP at EGA, ensuring programme integrity, teacher excellence and the highest standards of student learning.
The role:
- Leading the planning, implementation and ongoing review of the IB Middle Years Programme in line with IB standards and practices
- Managing IB authorisation, evaluation and self-study processes; acting as the primary liaison with the IB organisation
- Supporting, coaching and developing MYP teachers in effective programme delivery, unit design and assessment
- Overseeing the Personal Project process, service as action and ATL skill development across the MYP
- Leading the moderation and standardisation of MYP assessment across all subject groups
- Coordinating eAssessment preparation and external moderation submissions
- Leading MYP-focused staff CPD and ensuring engagement with Nord Anglia University
- Communicating MYP expectations, progress and outcomes clearly to parents and the school community
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- A recognised teaching qualification and classroom teaching experience in an IB MYP school
- IB MYP workshop training at Category 1 or 2 level
- In-depth knowledge of MYP curriculum, assessment criteria, eAssessment and the Personal Project
- Understanding of IB programme standards, practices and authorisation requirements
- Experience in an IB coordinator or curriculum leadership role (desirable)
- Excellent organisational, communication and coaching skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
- International school experience, ideally within the Middle East (desirable)
