Etqan Global Academy (EGA), Doha, Qatar is looking to recruit a MYP Mathematics Teacher. EGA is a newly established IB World School offering the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic MYP Mathematics Teacher to inspire our students to think mathematically, make real-world connections and develop a genuine love for the subject within the IB framework.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, concept-driven Mathematics lessons aligned with the IB MYP Mathematics curriculum and global contexts.
  • Assessing student work using MYP Mathematics criteria and providing meaningful, constructive feedback.
  • Developing units of inquiry that make connections between Mathematics, real-world contexts and other subject groups.
  • Embedding ATL skills development and interdisciplinary connections within all Mathematics teaching.
  • Supporting students' preparation for MYP eAssessment and tracking progress using data to drive intervention.
  • Fulfilling Form Tutor responsibilities and contributing to the pastoral life of the school.
  • Contributing positively to the Mathematics department and the wider EGA school community.

Qualifications required:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent) and a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics in an IB MYP school.
  • Strong knowledge of the MYP Mathematics curriculum, assessment criteria and eAssessment.
  • A data-driven approach to tracking student progress and driving improvement.
  • IB MYP Mathematics workshop training desirable; international school experience desirable.
