London is our global headquarters where 200 colleagues across Finance, Risk, Corporate Development, Legal, HR, MAC and Education drive the success of our 80+ schools in 30+ countries. In the role of Professional Learning Culture and Engagement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Nord Anglia University (NAU) Professional Learning, Culture and Engagement strategy, driving a global professional learning ecosystem that directly supports our organisational priorities and commercial success.
You will shape how professional learning drives teacher quality and student outcomes, positioning NAU as a key differentiator. You'll lead the design and delivery of communications and culture-change initiatives to embed a strong professional learning culture across NAE. This includes raising NAE's internal and external profile for PL through campaigns and thought leadership and implementing engagement strategies that help colleagues use PL and NAU effectively.
You will develop and grow system leaders, enabling peerâtoâpeer and social learning through Professional Learning Leads, Communities of Practice, and other networksâensuring these initiatives deliver measurable impact on collaboration, capability building, and retention. Your work will align cultureâspecific strategies with NAU's overarching goals, embedding innovative learning approaches that strengthen engagement and performance.
By championing communication, training, and stakeholder alignment, you'll ensure new features and learning strategies are adopted at scale, maximising ROI on our digital learning platform and reinforcing NAU as a cornerstone of our professional learning strategy.
Ultimately, this role ensures NAU is not just a learning hub but a strategic enabler, supporting our vision to develop the highestâquality teachers and staff, driving educational excellence, and contributing to the commercial success of our global network.
The role:
- Define and execute a multiâyear strategy to embed a culture of PL for all colleagues, aligned to NAE priorities.
- Codify behaviours for PL (eg collaboration, evidenceâinformed practice, reflection, outcome focused) and embed them in learning design and comms.
- Develop an engagement strategy that equips colleagues and line managers to use PL & NAU effectively (onboarding, playbooks, toolkits, clinics).
- Lead the development and delivery of a culture, communications and engagement strategy that embeds the use of the newly developed and enhanced NAU platform and Professional Learning Strategy.
- Lead the engagement strategy around making the best use of NAU to drive continuous improvement against educational, organisational and commercial priorities.
- Lead training and communications around new features on NAU to Professional Learning Leader (PLL)'s and key NAU superusers.
- Grow and harness the group's expertise by developing a cadre of system leaders and Teaching Fellows to lead and develop bespoke, peerâtoâpeer and social learning.
- Establish and scale communities of practice across priority areas (education and functional), with facilitation models and recognition.
- Coach PLLs and SMEs to design highâimpact learning aligned to NAU standards.
- Scope, create, and maintain COP's spaces and initiatives to ensure high engagement and effective collaboration.
- Manage the Teaching Fellow initiatives, through regular check in's providing necessary spaces and creating engagement opportunities etc.
- Manage the PLL community through creating spaces for shared learning, creating frameworks for best practice and providing necessary resources etc.
- Lead the development of the next phase of the Professional Learning Leader programme.
- Lead initiatives aimed at sharing best practice for professional learning.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience developing professional learning strategies and implementation plans.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to deliver on immediate priorities and plan for future needs.
- Experience working in an international education setting.
- Ability to oversee a range of projects running simultaneously, maintaining high standards.
- Excellent presentational skills that will present NAE as a premium brand to internal and external stakeholders.
