We are currently seeking a Part-Time Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused individual with a passion for accuracy and process improvement. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Running end-to-end payroll for salaried and hourly employees across four sites.
- Accurately collating and processing timesheets, overtime, and bonuses.
- Managing the administration of starters, leavers, and payroll adjustments.
- Processing pensions, deductions (including loans, CSA, AEOs), and Benefits in Kind.
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC submissions (FPS, EPS), producing P60s and P45s.
- Submitting P11D and P11D(b) at year-end.
- Assisting with onboarding and supporting employees with payroll and pension queries.
- Improving payroll systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar payroll role.
- Proficient in payroll processing, ideally with experience using SAGE Payroll.
- Solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate level or above).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Professional, approachable, and able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Additional Information:
This position requires the successful candidate to pass Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checks and, where applicable, National Security Vetting (NSV) checks. Full details will be provided at the offer stage.
Location: Holton Heath, Poole, Dorset
Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
Hours: Part-time & flexible, with hybrid working options available, 15 hours per week over 3 days.
