We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Planner, able to operate in a dynamic and fast changing environment, to support the successful delivery of projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring alignment with objectives, resources, and timelines, helping us stay on track, anticipate risks early and make confident, data‐driven decisions. They will support the project manager to coordinate engineering & manufacturing teams, ensuring our schedules are robust, realistic, and aligned to delivering exciting projects within the aerospace and defence sector.
This position requires all candidates to be eligible to live and work in the UK and must be capable of achieving a valid UK Government security vetting clearance; candidates must also hold a sole UK British passport (no dual nationalities). Norco will guide and assist with the SC process once employment is agreed and provide ongoing support and training in this field. Please note, hybrid working is not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using appropriate planning tools
- Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to define project scope and timelines
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks
- Produce regular reports on project status, milestones, and performance metrics
- Support resource planning and allocation to ensure optimal efficiency
- Collate and present KPI’s from various departments
Requirements:
- Sole UK National
- Able to pass National Security Vetting checks
- Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, or coordination
- High Level of Proficiency with MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Desirable: Proficiency with project management software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools)
