The Stores Person is a critical role within the business and will become a key member of our manufacturing team with a wide range of duties supporting the purchasing and manufacturing teams to ensure that stock is correctly received and allocated across the site. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for goods in ensuring that deliveries are accurately received, checked, labelled and recorded on Progress Plus.
- Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies.
- Must have a high level of knowledge with Progress Plus processes to maintain accurate stock control, allocations, and issuing of materials to Production.
- Unloading and loading deliveries and internal distribution of goods.
- Supporting month end activity, including stock checks.
- Stock rotation.
- Implementing or improving processes and procedures.
- Highlighting material shortages.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience of working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- MS Office.
- Work well independently but also as a team.
- Working in adherence with Health and Safety rules.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Good team player and excellent communicator.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Forklift Licence.
