Job ref: SL101224 Job type: Permanent Location: Newry Closing date: Wednesday 01 Jan 2025 13:00 Job Overview To act as Licensee for animal studies conducted by the Clinical Section of the Research & Development Division, whilst adhering to the Good Laboratory Practice guidelines. Main Activities/Tasks To Responsible for overseeing the in vivo phase and acting as Licensee for various types of studies. Conducting biochemistry and haematology analyses. Ensuring the in vivo phase of the study is conducted in accordance with the study plan and current SOPs. Ensuring all aspects of the study are fully documented. Compilation of study documentation. Reviewing study plans. Writing and reviewing SOPs. Ensure studies are conducted in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice and study protocol. Essential Criteria: Demonstrate flexibility and be available to work occasionally outside of regular working hours. Previous experience in animal handling, husbandry, and care. Strong attention to details and ability to follow protocols precisely. Capable of prioritising tasks and managing time efficiently. Effective communication skills to work well within a team and report findings accurately. Be assertive, yet tactful. Hold a full UK driving licence. Desirable Criteria: Qualifications in animal science, biology, or veterinary technology can be advantageous. Previous experience in conducting biochemistry and haematology analysis. Ability to perform validation and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Have experience working in a GLP, GCP or GMP environment. Have previous experience in the role e.g. Personal Licence Understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines.
