Job ref: PAFTC101224 Job type: Temporary Location: Newry Closing date: Wednesday 01 Jan 2025 13:00 Job Overview This role supports a team whose role is to procure everything needed to keep our organization running, from machines and spare parts, through to Laboratory and Office supplies. This role will report to the Indirect Category Manager. Main Activities/Tasks Order placement and delivery of materials in a timely, compliant and cost-effective manner to meet manufacturing schedule and Customer delivery performance. Following initial training, manage a number of suppliers ensuring on time in full delivery of materials to the standards required. Participate in meetings with other Buyers and Suppliers to develop skills & knowledge. Support Vendor Approval and adhere to Change Control process. Liaise with internal stakeholders in other departments to minimise the risk of interruption to supply – ensure timely communication at all times. Work with suppliers and cross-functionally within Norbrook to ensure optimum stock levels in line with current inventory model. Undertake training to develop procurement skills to become a successful Essential Criteria: At least 3 years’ work experience in an office based environment with a keen interest in procurement. Good communication skills Team fit and ability to adhere to Norbrook values. Numerate with good IT skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Strong attention to detail Resilient team player with a strong Customer (internal & external) focus Desirable Criteria: Previous purchasing experience Duration: Fixed Term Contract, 1 year Location: Newry Additional Information: This role will be based in a site that produces and handles penicillin, and as such, this role would not be suitable for those that have a penicillin allergy.
