Norbrook are recruiting a skilled and motivated Occupational Health Nurse to join our team based in Newry. This is a full-time, permanent role supporting employee health, wellbeing, and compliance initiatives.

Main Activities/Tasks:

  • Conduct statutory and company-required health surveillance programmes, including hearing tests, respiratory assessments, and vibration assessments.
  • Collect and process biological samples to support the organisation's Drug & Alcohol Policy.
  • Deliver First Aid training and general occupational health education sessions.
  • Assist in developing and delivering employee wellbeing initiatives.
  • Conduct clinical assessments for return-to-work and advise on reasonable adjustments.
  • Provide professional occupational health advice to management and support policy development.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration.
  • Occupational health nursing qualification (SCPHN OH or postgraduate OH diploma/degree) preferred.
  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training (Desirable).
  • Experience or willingness to train in First Aid instruction.
  • Competence in sample collection for drug and alcohol testing.
  • Understanding of HSENI regulations relating to health surveillance and workplace risk.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with occupational health information systems.
