The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Hygiene Assistant will work as part of a team, ensuring that levels of cleanliness are maintained at a level required in the pharmaceutical industry, both in interior and exterior areas.
Duties will include general cleaning such as brushing & mopping floors of production areas, washrooms, locker rooms, main factory walkways and stairs. Duties will also include dusting, polishing, using vacuum cleaners & scrubbers and restocking washrooms and PPE consumables.
This role will involve working a 2 shift pattern, Monday to Friday 6am-2pm week 1 and Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm week 2. A degree of flexibility will also be required to change schedule on occasions to cover periods of annual leave, absence etc.
Main Activities/Tasks:- Washrooms & locker rooms to be cleaned at set frequency.
- Adherence to cleaning checklists.
- Waste materials to be removed from factory areas on a timely basis.
- Replacement waste receptacles must be thoroughly cleaned before being taken inside the factory.
- Any other duties as deemed by management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to demonstrate their initiative and have the ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Substantial experience within a hygiene role.
- Observant of poor housekeeping practices & address these.
- Ability to work a 2 shift pattern with flexibility to alter hours when required.
- Previous hygiene experience in a factory environment.
