Job ref: Job type: Permanent Location: Newry Closing date: Saturday 10 Oct :00 Trainee Management Accountant Job Overview The FP&A team are recruiting for an ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic individual as a Trainee Management Accountant to support our department and our key operational stakeholders. This role is interactive, requires drive and determination to continually improve current processes. Norbrook will provide financial and study leave support to the successful candidate to obtain CIMA qualification. Main Activities/Tasks: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including maintaining accrual and prepayment schedules and posting manual journals. Assist with annual budget preparation, monthly balance sheet reconciliations and key financial reporting for business functions. Contribute to the preparation of year-end accounts and supporting audit schedules. Assist with the month-end valuation of inventory across the Group. Maintain and improve finance systems and procedures to support effective financial reporting and budgetary control. Prepare financial reports and analysis for management reporting, grant claims, statistical returns and other business requirements. Undertake ad hoc duties, including providing support to other areas of the wider Finance team as required. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business. Rotate through various roles within the Finance team to gain broad experience and support business needs. Essential Criteria: Graduate (Accountancy/Finance min 2.1) Ready to start studying and achieve the CIMA qualification. Experienced user of computer applications, in particular having strong excel skills. At least 1 year's work experience in a finance role Desirable Criteria: Ability to apply accounting knowledge and demonstrate analytical skills Good communication skills, both written and oral. Strong attention to detail. Able to work as a member of a team and to perform effectively under pressure to meet deadlines Duration: Full Time Location: Newry Additional Information: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for this role.
