Job Overview
Reporting to the Head of Commercial finance, this role sits within the commercial side of the Financial Planning and Analysis team. It will be focused upon supporting Norbrook's Sales & Marketing teams around the world to grow and develop their regional businesses through deep business partnering with senior regional leaders. The Commercial Finance Manager will support continuous improvement of our routine reporting, decision-making and growth planning as well as ensuring business targets are understood, planned towards and achieved.
Main Activities/Tasks
- Provide financial advice and decision-support to the business, particularly around rebate and pricing programs. Ensuring all such proposals are credible, accurate, fully costed and administratively feasible.
- Drive value-add analysis of business performance across each region targeting all P&L areas and effectively communicating results and recommendations to senior management on a monthly and ad-hoc business review basis.
- Pro-actively identify trends and issues in financial performance within each region and develop action plans to manage such along with regional business leadership.
- Prepare and manage weekly and monthly sales reporting.
- Assist in month end accounts and performance reporting for regions.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place in the region and through monitoring to confirm these are operating effectively.
- Assist regional Sales & Marketing teams in the annual sales budget process and quarterly forecasting.
- Work with regional Sales & Marketing teams to develop an annual budget for Sales & Marketing spend, and monitor spend throughout the year.
- Work with teams on annual price increases, adhoc pricing queries and pricelist maintenance.
- Actively engage in continuous improvement of financial processes, projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Essential Criteria:
- Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Experience in a business-focused analytical role
- Experience of analysing data to generate high value, high impact management information and decision support
- High energy, self-motivated and keen to learn and develop a commercial finance career
- Strong IT skills including delivering high quality, user-friendly financial reporting
Desirable Criteria:
- Big 4 accounting training or experience in large organisation.
- Experience of Business Partnering across time-zones and multiple currencies
- Experience of committing and delivering to deadlines and results
