Due to sustained and continued growth, we are currently seeking applications for the newly created key position of Maintenance Manager within our plant located in Ballymena.

What Does The Role Entail? Supporting the core business to ensure that the maintenance team and systems capabilities are maintained and improved, driving towards world class standards.
Supporting key site, maintenance and Continuous improvement projects while ensuring daily manufacturing challenges are overcome to maximise site quality and yield.
What Will My Key Responsibilities Be? Leading and motivating the Engineering team, provide guidance, training and manage performance of maintenance team by ensuring that targets and KPI’s are achieved whilst providing mentoring when necessary.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and address potential issues.
Ability to communicate effectively to multidisciplinary meeting forums.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures in line with production management to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime, ensuring machinery is running as efficiently as possible.
Assisting with the planning and implementation of expansions across the factory, including carrying out Machinery and Equipment installations.
Managing the Maintenance department’s budget.
Ensuring that the Maintenance team adhere to strict health & safety/environmental regulations.
Assisting with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency.
Proactive approach to minimisation of unplanned downtime by applying and implementing world class asset care regimes and providing technical solutions to continuously improve the manufacturing facility.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history and inventory.

What Skills and Attributes Should I Have? Minimum of 5 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food / beverage sector Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical & electrical systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
