Norbar Torque Tools Ltd, the world leading torque tool manufacturer is looking to recruit a skilled and reliable CNC Setter/Operator to join our weekend shift production team (comprising 36 hours Friday - Sunday), in this role, you will ensure CNC and relevant manual machines operate efficiently, safely and to the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment, following all safety procedures and ensuring work areas remain clean and hazard free.
- Work to planned schedules, following work-to lists and coordinating with shift management to support effective production planning.
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting any errors through the correct processes.
- Set and operate CNC machinery and associated production equipment to produce components to specification.
- Follow workplace standards and control plans, inspect components against engineering drawings using various measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to support smooth production flow.
- Perform any additional duties reasonably requested by Shift Management.
About You
- Experience setting and operating CNC machines (knowledge/background with Matsuura Multi-Pallet machinery would be a distinct advantage).
- A good understanding of engineering drawings and measurement tools.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Reliable, organised and able to work to production targets.
