I am seeking an energetic and experienced Senior Hair Stylist to join a dynamic salon. As a Senior barber stylist, you will lead by example, delivering exceptional hair styling, coloring, and the occasional perm (if qualified). Your expertise in barbering and advanced styling techniques will elevate the client experience and drive salon success. You will be responsible for maintaining high sanitation standards, managing retail sales, and utilizing salon software to streamline operations. Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring and long hair styling with precision and artistic flair in equal measure.
- Provide expert consultations on hair health, color theory, and styling options tailored to each client's needs.
- Operate salon software such as Phorest to schedule appointments, process transactions, and manage client records efficiently.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Provide product knowledge and retail sales strategies.
- Engage clients through excellent customer service by actively listening to their preferences and upselling retail products like hair care items and shave care.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment bookings, client check-ins, and answering inquiries professionally.
- Support store management tasks such as inventory control and visual merchandising to maximise sales opportunities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a senior stylist barber with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in hair styling, coloring and customer care.
- Familiarity with salon management software such as Phorest.
- Strong understanding of color theory, sanitation practices, and barbering hygiene requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to be independent and hard working with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with diverse clients.
- Experience in retail sales including upselling techniques and retail.
