Noon-The Social Learning Platform is an edtech platform in the Middle East. Noon’s mission is to radically change the way people learn, with a primary focus on the Middle East. We have taught over 12 million students with our remote learning products. We are building a network of schools supported by top teachers, driven by technology and innovation. We recently closed Series B and have substantial recurring revenue. We are building a new operating system for learning.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate leader to grow and manage a distributed, high‑performing team. This hybrid role (2 days in the office per week) is based in our central London office.

Responsibilities

  • Line manage one or more cross‑functional teams (backend, frontend, infrastructure).
  • Contribute to product strategy, set team‑level OKRs, and track progress and accountability.
  • Grow a diverse, highly skilled, and motivated group of engineers.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Play a key role in improving and implementing processes and values.
  • Collaborate with product, design, operations, and learning teams.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a people manager in a high‑growth tech/product company.
  • Strong technical skills, architectural knowledge, problem‑solving abilities, and experience setting strategic direction.
  • A passion for mentoring and supporting the career development of engineers.
  • Experience building cross‑functional teams, including recruiting, promoting, and onboarding.
  • Bonus points if you have hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, or React Native.

The interview process

The process involves a recruiter call, a technical interview (coding and architecture/system design interview), and an in‑person interview in the London office that includes a behavioural interview.
