About Noon

Noon's mission is to radically change the way people learn, with a primary focus on the Middle East, where the company has its roots and where the need and urgency to improve education are highest. We have taught over 12 million students successfully with our remote learning products. Our next big challenge is to build a network of schools, supported by top teachers and driven by technology and innovation, to positively impact even more lives.

Why work at Noon?

  • The opportunity to have a real impact on millions of students.
  • A strong leadership and engineering team to learn from.
  • A solid runway: we recently closed our Series B and have substantial recurring revenue.
  • We're building a new operating system for learning.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate leader who can grow and manage a distributed, high-performing team. This is a hybrid role (2 days in the office per week) based in our central London office, where the core of our tech team is located. We need the best minds to help us scale what makes our school work: great teachers, active learning, and peer collaboration. Not lectures. Not AI gimmicks. A 24/7 experience where students debate, create, and learn by doing.

Responsibilities

  • Line manage one or more cross-functional teams (backend, frontend, infrastructure).
  • Contribute to product strategy, set team-level OKRs, and track progress and accountability.
  • Grow a diverse, highly skilled, and motivated group of engineers.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Play a key role in improving and implementing processes and values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, operations, and learning teams.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a people manager, with a desire to learn, improve, and jell with the team and successfully lead, manage, and coach a team in a high-growth tech/product company.
  • Strong technical skills, architectural knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and experience setting strategic direction.
  • A passion for mentoring and supporting the career development of engineers.
  • Experience building cross-functional teams, including recruiting, promoting, and onboarding.
  • Bonus points if you have hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot in the backend, or TypeScript, React or React Native in the frontend.

The interview process

The process involves a recruiter call and then a technical interview (coding and architecture/system design interview), followed by an in-person interview in the London office that includes a behavioural interview.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer:

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • Performance-based bonus
  • 25 days annual leave and Christmas office closure days on top
  • 5% contribution to your Pension Scheme
  • Private Medical Scheme including Family cover
  • Income Protection and Life Assurance to help you to protect your future

About Diversity & Inclusion

We understand that everyone has a unique set of skills and experiences. If you're passionate about making a real positive impact through education, even if you don't meet all the requirements above, we encourage you to apply. At Noon, we respect and value differences. We know that when people from different backgrounds and with different points of view work together, we create the most value – for our clients, our people, and society.
