Job Title: Experienced Furniture Fitter / Builder

Location: Oldbury, Birmingham (with national travel)

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: Β£15.00 (depending on experience)

Expected Hours: 8 – 50+ hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday | No weekends

Nooklife is a furniture supplier specialising in the supply & delivery of furniture packages & single item furniture replacement for the residential investment property industry. Based in Oldbury, we are a small but rapidly growing team with exciting expansion plans over the coming years. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service and quality interiors to our clients across the UK.

We are now looking for a skilled and reliable Furniture Assembler (capable of driving vans for delivery) with a minimum of 2 years\' experience working with furniture to join our team. This role will play a key part in supporting our growth by increasing our capability both in assembly & delivery and helping to free up senior management from on-site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-assemble furniture such as bedside tables, dining chairs, and chest of drawers at the warehouse.
  • Assemble larger items like wardrobes, dining tables, and sofas on-site at client properties.
  • Load and unload furniture, performing manual handling and heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Liaise professionally with clients to gain access to properties and provide updates.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues while maintaining a high level of professionalism on and off site.
  • Follow floor plans and project specifications to ensure accurate and efficient installations.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ambition, with potential to manage the warehouse and installation teams as the business grows.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years\' proven experience in furniture fitting, carpentry, or a similar trade.
  • Strong understanding of flat-pack furniture assembly and wall fixings.
  • Confident use of hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment.
  • Ability to read floor plans and interpret installation instructions.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting, loading, and manoeuvring furniture.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for travel between job sites.
