This is a highly rewarding opportunity where therapy is embedded into the curriculum and wider school environment. The role focuses on practical, functional intervention work supporting children and young people with communication needs, autism, language disorders and associated learning needs. You will work closely alongside Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants and education staff, jointly within an MDT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a paediatric caseload across school settings
- Delivering 1:1 and functional communication interventions
- Supporting students with speech, language and communication needs
- Contributing to EHCP annual reviews and MDT reports
- Delivering training and strategies to education staff
- Working with families, therapists and the wider school team
Requirements:
- HCPC registration (or eligibility)
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Experience within paediatrics, SEN or educational settings
- Strong MDT working and communication skills
- Proactive and team player approach
