About the Role of an Speech and Language Therapist:
You\’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting students with a variety of complex needs including developmental trauma, neurodiversity (autism, ADHD, etc.), and speech and language challenges. Your work will directly impact students\’ ability to access education and reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering 1:1 and group interventions based on clinical assessment and formulation
Supporting staff to embed communication strategies in everyday learning
Working collaboratively with teachers, carers, and the wider MDT
Creating clinically informed, person-centred support plans
Contributing to EHCPs and clinical reviews
What We\’re Looking For:
Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC
Proven experience supporting children and young people with complex needs
Skilled in collaborative working across educational and residential settings
Confident in delivering training and supporting others to implement strategies
