Residential Practice Development Lead – Children's Homes – Channel Islands\\n\\nContract: 6 months | Hours: Full-time, 37 hours/week (Monday to Friday)\\n Rate: £48p/hr – £52.50p/hr\\n Location: Channel Islands – on-island only (no remote working)\\n Start: Immediate\\n\\nAre you a seasoned social care professional with a passion for improving outcomes for children in residential settings? Do you thrive on coaching others, embedding trauma-informed practice, and leading change on the frontline?\\n\\nJoin our team on this beautiful island as a Residential Practice Development Lead and play a vital role in shaping and improving the care we provide for children and young people in our residential homes.\\n\\nThe Role\\n\\nAs Practice Development Lead, you will:\\n\\nLead the development and implementation of outstanding care and support practice\\nEquip staff with the skills and confidence to deliver trauma-informed, relational, and child-centered care\\nWork closely with managers and frontline teams to meet the emotional, social, and developmental needs of children in our homes\\nCoach and mentor staff, lead training workshops, and embed a learning culture aligned with our restorative and child-rights-based practice model\\nDrive quality assurance and improvement work, closing the loop on feedback and audits\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\nQualified Social Worker with at least 5 years' experience in statutory social work\\n\\nSignificant experience working with:\\n\\nChildren and families in need and child protection\\nLooked after children and care proceedings\\nResidential settings and/or children's homes\\n\\nProven ability to:\\n\\nDeliver workshops, coaching and mentoring\\nLead or support service improvement and practice development\\nQuickly build strong working relationships with staff and young people\\n\\nEnhanced DBS (preferably on the update service)\\n\\nRegistered with Social Work England\\n\\nDriver's licence and right to work in the UK\\n\\nAvailable to live and work full-time on the Island for the full duration of the contract\\n\\nWhat We Offer\\n\\nGovernment-provided accommodation (agency pays rent directly)\\nReturn travel to the island (flight or ferry foot passenger)\\nOpportunity to make a tangible impact in a small, tight-knit, and supportive service\\nWork in a unique and beautiful island setting\\n\\nApply Now\\n\\nLet's Connect\\nReady to make a difference?
