REACH Senior Project Manager

Location: Remote or hybrid working

Our client is a specialist regulatory consultancy supporting chemical manufacturers and importers with complex global compliance challenges. With a long-standing reputation for scientific excellence and hands-on industry knowledge, the company partners with organisations of all sizes to navigate EU and UK chemical regulations confidently and efficiently. They are now seeking an experienced REACH Senior Project Manager to join their expanding Regulatory Affairs & Product Stewardship team

This is a role where your technical depth in REACH compliance is truly valued. You’ll work on high-impact regulatory projects, from managing complex lead and joint dossier submissions to providing Only Representative support for multi-layered supply chains. Unlike purely administrative compliance roles, here you will shape scientific strategy, interpret regulatory frameworks, and advise clients at senior level.

The business itself is growing quickly in a niche market – chemicals regulatory services – while maintaining a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture. You won’t be lost in a huge corporate machine; you’ll have the autonomy to drive projects but with access to a strong network of scientific and regulatory experts. Their work environment combines scientific rigour with practical industry focus, making it a place where you can deepen your expertise while seeing the real-world impact of your advice.

You’ll also enjoy the benefits of a modern, hybrid working setup. The company trusts experienced professionals to manage their time effectively, while still fostering close teamwork and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage outsourced product stewardship and compliance projects related to EU and UK REACH regulations
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of lead and joint dossiers, including compliance check updates
  • Provide technical and scientific advice to clients on REACH and related regulations
  • Support Only Representative roles for complex international supply chains
  • Author and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in line with EU/UK regulations
  • Manage projects involving study monitoring, risk assessments, and regulatory deadlines
  • Coordinate with internal scientific experts to ensure quality, scope, budget, and timelines are met
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise both clients and internal teams accordingly

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on EU/UK REACH experience (lead/joint dossiers, Only Representative work, SDS authoring)
  • Knowledge of REACH tools such as IUCLID, REACH-IT, and Chesar; experience with e-SDS software (e.g. ChemGes, ExESS) - don\'t worry you do not need to be a SDS expert
  • Expertise in classification and labelling (CLP) and chemical safety assessments (HRA/ERA desirable)
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder regulatory projects within budget and deadlines
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) with excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Confident working both autonomously and as part of a team of technical experts

Additional Information

This is a remote or hybrid offering flexibility to work remotely while staying connected to a strong European team. You will be joining a business that is investing in growth, expanding its consultancy and regulatory services, and building long-term relationships with key players in the chemical industry. The role offers both technical depth and the chance to act as a trusted advisor to international clients.

I am a leading Regulatory Affairs recruiter in Europe with a distinguished track record of placing candidates with top companies and consultancies in the Chemical and Agrochemicals sectors. Even if this particular opportunity isn\'t the perfect fit, we may have other exciting roles that align with your expertise – so don\'t hesitate to get in touch!
