About the role

We are looking for a Child Psychologist to join a specialist education setting in Preston, supporting children and young people with autism, neurodevelopmental needs and other complex needs, including trauma, sensory processing, mental health, and communication difficulties. You will provide psychological assessment, formulation and therapeutic support, helping young people to make positive progress in their education and wider development. The role will also involve providing consultation, training, workshops and guidance to education teams, helping them understand and respond effectively to the needs of the young people they support.

About you

  • HCPC registration as a Clinical, Educational, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Experience assessing and supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confidence providing guidance, training and consultation to others
  • A proactive approach and genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people
