NonStop Care is working with a specialist children's service to recruit an experienced Therapist in Middlesbrough. This contract is on a temporary basis to support children and young people aged 3-19 who have experienced sexual harm and abuse. This is meaningful work with a National Charity, it is suited for someone who is available for work and looking for a chance to get involved working on a special project. This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified therapist to deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions, working closely with children, young people and families across the Tees Valley and North East region.
Responsibilities of the Therapist:
- Delivering therapeutic support to children, young people and families
- Managing complex and sensitive casework
- Working in partnership with parents/carers and external agencies
- Maintaining accurate case notes and reports
- Applying safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
- Contributing to positive outcomes and service development
Requirements:
- Diploma-level qualification (or equivalent) in counselling, psychotherapy, play therapy, art therapy, drama therapy or music therapy
- Experience working directly with children, young people and families
- Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
- Must be a driver and have access to own car
