We are partnering with a globally established specialty chemicals business operating in highly regulated and technically demanding markets. The organisation delivers complex, cross-functional projects that require strong coordination across commercial, operational and technical teams. Best thing about them - encouraging a great work life balance with a 35 hour working week!
This is a hands-on project delivery role, not a purely administrative PM position. You will take ownership of multiple projects (typically sub-£1m), ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required technical and operational standards. The role requires someone who is structured, detail-oriented and comfortable operating in complex chemical environments, where safety, compliance and process discipline are critical.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, from planning through to execution and completion
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across operations, commercial, finance and technical functions
- Ensure strong governance, reporting, and adherence to project lifecycle processes
- Manage project risks, timelines, budgets and resource allocation
- Drive accountability across stakeholders to ensure delivery milestones are met
- Support continuous improvement of project processes and delivery efficiency
- Provide clear updates to senior stakeholders on progress, risks and outcomes
What They’re Looking For
This role suits someone who is technically grounded and commercially aware, rather than a purely theoretical project manager.
Key requirements:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering (strong preference) or related technical discipline
- Proven experience delivering projects within chemical, process, manufacturing or industrial environments - MUST HAVE
- Strong understanding of process, safety and compliance-driven environments
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive delivery across functions
- Comfortable working with structure, governance and reporting
Preferred:
- Formal project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMP)
- Experience in product development, manufacturing projects or ERP/process improvement initiatives
Why This Role Stands Out
- Opportunity to work within a technically complex, global chemical business
- Exposure to cross-functional projects with real commercial and operational impact
- A role where delivery and execution matter more than theory
- Stable, structured environment with clear processes and expectations
This position is being handled on a strictly confidential basis, with full company details shared on application.
