Our client is currently seeking an Environmental Permitting Consultant to provide technical support and expertise across a range of permitting activities. Join the team and play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and making a positive impact on waste management and industrial operations.
As an Environmental Permitting Consultant, your role will involve:
- Utilising your comprehensive understanding of the environmental permitting regime to provide technical support for a wide range of permitting services.
- Demonstrating expertise in waste management and industrial activities, including landfill, waste treatment, hazardous waste management, and waste recovery operations.
- Reviewing and interpreting environmental monitoring data and preparing reports and Environmental Risk Assessments related to these activities.
- Offering direct input to projects and overseeing others, drawing from your up-to-date knowledge of environmental permitting and previous regulatory regimes in pollution prevention and control and waste management licensing.
- Providing technical advice and support to team members by applying your experience in the application of environmental legislation to various activities.
- Establishing positive relationships with waste sector operators and liaising effectively with the Environment Agency to facilitate smooth project operations.
Requirements:
- Essential: Relevant qualification in a specialist discipline area.
- Essential: Experience in project management.
- Essential: Full UK driving licence.
- Beneficial: CIWM membership.
