NonStop Care is currently working with a local authority to recruit an experienced Locum Social Worker to join their MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced frontline Social Worker with MASH experience to join a supportive and stable service with strong partnership working across agencies.

About the Role:

Working within the Front Door Service, you will be responsible for screening and triaging referrals to inform safeguarding decisions and determine the appropriate course of action for children and families. This is a non-caseholding role requiring strong analytical skills, confident decision-making, and the ability to work effectively within timescales. The team works closely with partner agencies within a multi-agency hub environment, offering excellent collaboration and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake screening and triage of safeguarding referrals
  • Assess thresholds for intervention and risk
  • Make informed safeguarding decisions for children and families
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies within MASH
  • Provide high-quality analysis and recommendations
  • Work effectively within a busy environment and deadlines
  • Maintain accurate case recording and documentation

Requirements for Locum Social Worker MASH:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Previous frontline safeguarding experience
  • Experience working within a MASH environment
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding thresholds and interventions
  • Analytical and inquisitive approach to assessments
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing demands
  • Strong communication and multi-agency working skills

Additional Information:

  • Hybrid working - minimum 3 days per week in the office
  • Office location: Shire Hall, Gloucester
