NonStop Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children in Care Social Worker to join a committed and flexible team in a local authority just outside London. As an integral part of the Children in Care team, you'll support children and young people from the point of care entry through to permanency or preparation for independence. You'll be a key advocate in ensuring their voices are heard, their needs met, and their futures brightened. This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident practitioner who is emotionally intelligent, resilient, and passionate about delivering high-quality, relationship-based practice.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of looked-after children
- Develop, implement, and review care plans in line with statutory requirements
- Undertake regular visits and direct work to promote children's welfare
- Work collaboratively with carers, families, education, health and other professionals
- Support permanence planning, including adoption, SGO, and long-term fostering
- Prepare comprehensive reports and attend reviews, court hearings, and statutory meetings

What We're Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- SWE (Social Work England) registration
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in children's services
- Fully Drivers license with access to a vehicle
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989
- A commitment to trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
