A well-established, international specialty chemicals business is looking for an experienced Regulatory Specialist to join a close-knit, multicultural team based in London. This is a broad, hands-on role with real ownership across biocidal product registrations and ongoing regulatory compliance across the EMEA region.
The Role
Reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Manager, you'll take the lead on BPR dossier preparation, submission, and maintenance while providing regulatory support across REACH, CLP, and transport regulations at both EU and GB level. You'll liaise directly with regulatory authorities, internal technical teams, and external consultants, and represent the business in regional and global Responsible Care meetings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and coordinating Biocidal Product dossier submissions under EU and GB BPR (Regulation 528/2012)
- Monitoring developments under REACH (1907/2006), CLP (1272/2008) and their GB equivalents
- Overseeing annual tonnage monitoring and registration maintenance under EU, UK, and Turkish REACH
- Coordinating Responsible Care activities and internal reporting
- Providing regulatory advice to colleagues and customers across the EMEA region
What You'll Need
- Minimum 4β5 years of hands-on experience with biocidal product regulations at EU and/or GB level β this is essential
- Proven working knowledge of IUCLID and R4BP3
- Degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related regulatory discipline
- Solid understanding of REACH and CLP alongside BPR
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; a second European language is a genuine advantage
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, international team
