Biocides Regulatory Team Leader

Our client is a respected international regulatory consultancy recognised for its scientific expertise and partnership with major players in the chemical and biocidal sectors. With continued growth across its European operations, the company is seeking an experienced Biocides Regulatory Team Leader to oversee a talented group of regulatory specialists managing submissions, renewals, and complex biocidal projects under the EU Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR 528/2012).

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement, offering an

opportunity to lead, mentor, and shape a dynamic regulatory team in an environment that values precision, scientific excellence, and collaboration.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This position offers the rare chance to lead a team of between 6 to 8 that is central to delivering biocidal regulatory services across Europe. You’ll not only guide day-to-day operations but also influence strategic direction — ensuring high-quality project delivery while fostering an environment where technical skill, compliance, and innovation thrive.

The company’s growth is backed by a strong reputation in scientific consulting, built on decades of practical expertise and trusted client relationships. They are continuously investing in new technologies, digital tools, and team development to stay ahead in the evolving regulatory landscape. You’ll benefit from a culture that encourages leadership initiative, autonomy in decision-making, and genuine cross-functional collaboration.

Furthermore, this is a fully remote opportunity designed for professionals who value flexibility without losing the sense of team connection. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking business where your input directly impacts client outcomes, company performance, and your own career trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of regulatory professionals working on EU Biocides Regulation (BPR 528/2012) projects
  • Allocate resources, monitor workloads, and ensure project delivery within scope, timelines, and budget
  • Provide senior-level guidance on complex biocidal submissions, renewals, and regulatory challenges
  • Develop team skills through mentoring, training, and technical supervision
  • Support strategic communication between the team, management, and business development functions
  • Contribute to recruitment decisions, performance discussions, and motivation initiatives
  • Collaborate with other team leaders and business units to ensure consistent standards and shared best practices
  • Participate in company visibility and outreach activities across regulatory networks and forums

Key Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of EU Biocides Regulation (BPR 528/2012) and related national frameworks
  • Proven experience managing biocidal submissions, renewals, and dossier preparation (R4BP3, IUCLID)
  • Understanding of data requirements, risk assessments, and regulatory guidance interpretation
  • Experience leading and motivating teams within a regulatory or scientific environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to engage both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional EU languages advantageous
