Our multidisciplinary team is committed to empowering patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified psychologist to join our team, either as a consultant (3 days per week) or full-time (5 days per week). The ideal candidate will have experience in neuro rehabilitation and a passion for working with patients facing complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for patients with brain injuries and cognitive impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to address cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, speech and language therapists, dieticians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nursing staff.
- Supervise and mentor two psychology assistants, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in neuro rehabilitation.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro rehabilitation or working with brain injury patients.
- Strong assessment and therapeutic skills, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is preferred.
