Registered Manager - Brand New Children's LD Service - Up to £60,000

Location: Preston

Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (DOE)

My client is launching a brand new supported living service in the picturesque village outside of Preston - and we’re looking for an experienced, values-led Registered Manager (or a Deputy Manager ready to step up) to lead it from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a calm, settled and small-scale service - without the pressures of high-risk behaviours or large team dynamics.

What makes this service different?

  • You’ll be leading a warm, low-intensity setting supporting just three well-behaved children all with learning disabilities.
  • There are no challenging behaviours, giving you the space to focus on quality care and genuine relationship-building, rather than crisis management.
  • This is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, person-centred environment - where progress is measured in meaningful, everyday moments.

Why join Cavalry?

  • Salary up to £60,000 per annum
  • Your leadership experience will be truly valued - and rewarded competitively.
  • Established provider with full clinical and operational support
  • You’ll never feel like you’re going it alone - we’re here to help you succeed from day one.
  • 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
  • Prioritise your own wellbeing while supporting others.
  • Free gym membership + full benefits package
  • Because your health and balance matter too.
  • Stunning rural location - A peaceful setting with excellent potential for outdoor activities and therapeutic routines.

What we’re looking for:

  • 1-3 years’ experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities and/or residential care
  • You’ve worked closely with young people and understand the importance of consistency, structure, and emotional safety.
  • Experience setting up or running a service
  • Or, you’re a capable Deputy Manager who’s ready to step into something bigger.
  • Strong working knowledge of OFSTED frameworks
  • You understand what good looks like - and how to deliver it.
  • QCF Level 5 (or working towards) - Not essential, but required for top-end salary and registration.
  • Driver’s licence - Due to the location and community-based nature of the role.

We believe in giving our leaders the trust and tools to do the job well. This isn’t just another Registered Manager role - it’s a chance to shape a service from the start, with a calm, child-focused environment and a strong foundation of support behind you. If you’re ready to build something brilliant, apply today.
