Our client is well-established within the Manufacturing sector and are looking for a confident and passionate EDM Operator with experience of setting and operating wire-EDM machines.

Job Description

• Use and control of EDM machines
• Ability to read and understand CNC machine code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
• Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
• Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Be familiar with quality and manufacturing standards
• Experienced set and operating EDM or multi-axis CNC machines
• Well-versed working within a high-precision industry, on precision components / products (aerospace, automotive, rail, automotive, nuclear etc)
