Qualification Requirements
- Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics or equivalent, Grade 4 in GCSE English Language or equivalent (prior to admission)
- Proficient in the use of Python
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in a quantitative discipline (i.e., a field of study that relies heavily on numerical data, mathematical models, and statistical analysis)
- If you have completed a Level 6 Data Scientist Apprenticeship or Degree, you are overqualified for this role and we cannot accept your application.
Salary – ÂŁ28,440 per annum with annual salary increases

Job Responsibilities
As part of the Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) division within Pfizer, the Integrated Insights & Strategy team plays a critical role in enabling Pfizer’s commercial brand strategy. This team acts as internal consultants and brand strategists, partnering with commercial and cross-functional leaders to activate data-driven problem solving that drives impact and unlocks value.
The UK IIS Team believes that everything starts with “why”. We collaborate with commercial functions to collect, study, and interpret data to produce impactful insights. We seek agile minds driven by curiosity, aiming to deliver analytics that translate into actionable recommendations aligned with Pfizer UK’s goals. Working in IIS provides visibility into various data, brands, projects, and campaigns across the UK business. The team focuses on asking the right questions, supporting business decisions, and establishing optimal performance tracking methods.
The CD&AS role within IIS will work within a single business unit, partnering with the IIS manager to enable data-driven decision-making through analytics ecosystem creation and maintenance. Responsibilities include business performance reporting, visualization, resource optimization analytics, opportunity mapping, analytics innovation, advanced modeling, and strategic partnership with brands.
The role will be accountable for:
- Supporting and executing analytics reporting, including secondary data analysis, advanced analytics/data science, and modeling
- Executing customer analytics, segmentation, targeting, resource allocation, field force sizing, omnichannel analysis, etc.
- Collaborating on advanced analytics projects, including predictive modeling, data science, and machine learning
- Seeking continuous improvement through identifying new capabilities and data sources to maximize Pfizer’s competitive advantage
Performance Management/Forecasting/Operating Plan Support
- Monitoring portfolio performance and delivering accurate performance measurement solutions
- Monitoring the external marketplace and competitive landscape to inform business decisions
- Supporting data modeling and forecasting for LRF and operating plans
Primary Market Research Management
- Supporting PMR execution and identifying ways to enhance data utility
- Ensuring compliance with relevant SOPs and regulations
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Capability Creation
- Advancing GCA capabilities and scaling them across UK and IDM
- Facilitating best practice sharing and knowledge management
- Educating commercial teams on analytical tools and promoting recommendation adoption
Candidate Requirements
Skills
- Hands-on experience with machine learning models, proficiency in Python/R and visualization tools like Tableau/Qlik/Power BI
- Strong knowledge of statistics and linear algebra
- Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Passion for continuous learning and self-improvement
- Experience in business analytics, finance, marketing, engineering, or related fields
- Knowledge of UK pharmaceutical industry data sources
- Experience with GCA capabilities, Dataiku/DSS, Tableau, SQL is a plus
- Familiarity with AI/ML and data science approaches
- Ability to translate insights into business actions through storytelling
- Business acumen, preferably in pharma or healthcare
- Project management experience
