NonStop Care are working with a specialist private healthcare provider that is looking to appoint an experienced Lead Occupational Therapist for an ongoing locum opportunity within a low to medium secure mental health unit located near West Sussex.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist with leadership experience to join a well-established multidisciplinary team supporting adults within a secure environment. The successful candidate will lead and manage the Occupational Therapy service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centred interventions that support recovery, rehabilitation, and greater independence.

As Lead Occupational Therapist, you will manage and coordinate individual treatment plans, undertake comprehensive assessments, deliver therapeutic interventions on both an individual and group basis, and oversee the development and performance of junior Occupational Therapy staff. You will work closely with clinical and professional colleagues across the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care and rehabilitation are maintained.

Due to the nature of the role and service, full on-site attendance is required 5 days per week.

Requirements:

To be shortlisted for this position, you must be able to work in the UK and hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, along with HCPC registration and full BAOT membership.

Candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' Occupational Therapy experience
  • At least 1 year's experience working within a secure or acute setting
  • At least 1 year's experience managing or supervising junior staff
