Full time/Permanent
Nonsensical is the UK's leading TikTok agency. We help brands become famous on the platform, not by chasing trends, but by building distinctive worlds, formats, and ideas that last. We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Creative who can turn sharp cultural insight into ideas people actually want to watch, share, and talk about. You’ll be trusted to shape strategic thinking, raise the creative bar, present confidently to clients, and help define how brands show up on TikTok.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead strategic and creative development of TikTok-first campaigns - from initial insight through to execution.
- Shape briefs, not just respond to them.
- Present to clients with clarity and confidence, explaining the "why" as well as the "what".
- Own the creative vision for major accounts - ensuring consistency, distinctiveness, and strategic coherence across everything we make.
- Write compelling scripts, treatments, and decks that bring ideas to life and make them easy to produce.
- Oversee production quality - understanding what makes content work on set, not just on paper.
- Collaborate closely with producers and directors to ensure ideas land as intended.
- Build and evolve content formats, social shows, and brand worlds - thinking in series, not just one-off posts.
- Iterate based on performance - using data, audience signals, and platform changes to refine creative output.
- Raise creative standards across the team through feedback, collaboration, and example.
What we are looking for
- Agency experience - you’ve worked in a creative agency environment and understand the pace, the client dynamics, and the collaborative rhythm.
- Strategic thinking - you can develop creative strategy from scratch, connecting brand objectives to audience truths to platform behaviour.
- Cultural fluency - you’re deeply tapped into internet culture, memes, music, TV, news, and the weird corners of the internet where trends start.
- Client-facing confidence - you’re comfortable leading strategic conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Production knowledge - you understand shoot logistics, casting, directing talent, and post-production workflows.
- Range across audiences - you can write for 35-year-olds as confidently as you can for 22-year-olds.
- Platform fluency - deep understanding of TikTok & Instagram - formats, pacing, trends, and what actually performs.
- Strong writing skills - particularly short-form scripts, treatments, and culturally fluent copy.
- Taste, judgement, and opinion - you bring a point of view, not just output.
What you get when you join us
- Fully Remote Working – Work from wherever you’re happiest in the UK.
- Pension Scheme – Helping you invest in your future while you shape your present.
- Company Socials – From virtual hangouts to IRL meetups, we love bringing the team together.
- Creative Half-Days – Every quarter, take a half-day plus £50 to do something that inspires you.
- Learning Fund – £200 a year towards books, audiobooks, courses or content that fuels your development.
- Bonus Leave Days – Birthday? Wedding? Moving house? Take the day off on us.
What to expect in the recruitment process
- Step 1: Apply - Show us who you are - apply via LinkedIn but if you also want to submit a cover letter, portfolio, a TikTok via tiktok@nonsensical.agency go for it!
- Step 2: Screening Call - A 20–30 minute chat with our People & Talent team to get to know you and answer any initial questions.
- Step 3: First Interview - A conversation with your potential manager — diving into your experience, how you think about TikTok and client relationships.
- Step 4: Second Interview + Task - You’ll complete a small strategic or creative task and present it back to your potential manager and the Chief Content Officer.

Should you need any adjustments throughout the application and interview process do let us know so we can best accommodate you.
