If you've ever thought this would blow up on TikTok we want you on our team. We're on the hunt for a Head of Content to elevate and lead all production across our TikTok agency. From pre-production planning to post-production polish, you'll be the person defining and enforcing the creative and operational standards that make every piece of content Nonsensical-quality.
We are Nonsensical. We're a team built on passion, driven by creativity, always led by curiosity, and grounded in honesty. We help brands show up, stand out, and blow up on TikTok. From viral restaurants like Urban Tandoor, to leading B2B brands, global banks, and huge beauty brands.
As Head of Content, you'll lead our in-house production team, content creators, editors, and producers, ensuring everything that leaves the edit suite is strategic, slick, and scroll-stopping. You'll also play a key leadership role - building systems, processes, and a culture that scales as our agency grows.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead all production at Nonsensical: Overseeing shoots from planning and logistics to delivery and sign-off.
- Oversee pre-production: Ensuring best practices in scheduling, resourcing, location planning, kit management, risk assessments, and coordination between creatives and clients.
- Oversee post-production: Lead the editing workflow, provide feedback on drafts, ensuring all content meets brand tone, quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
- Own the production process: Build and refine systems for briefing, file management, approvals, and content handover.
- Continuously assess and improve production workflows: Identifying bottlenecks, implementing new tools, and evolving processes that enable creativity and efficiency.
- Be the final sign-off on content quality: Nothing goes live without your approval.
- Lead and develop the content team: Support videographers, editors, and producers; set clear standards, provide feedback and help them level up their craft.
- Work cross-functionally with creative, strategy, and account teams to ensure ideas are executed on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
- Maintain oversight of production budgets and ensure shoots run efficiently.
- Develop best practice frameworks for filming, lighting, audio, and editing for TikTok-first content.
- Stay ahead of TikTok trends and production innovation from editing techniques to gear, formats, and tools.
- Champion the Nonsensical look and feel, ensuring every video feels distinctive, creative, and crafted for the platform.
What we are looking for:
- Strong production background. You've led shoots, managed post-production, and understand what makes social-first content work.
- Deep knowledge of TikTok and short-form video platforms, including formats, pacing, transitions, and editing trends.
- Experienced in managing creators, editors, and production teams.
- Confident giving clear creative feedback and maintaining high standards.
- Exceptionally organised and comfortable balancing multiple shoots, edits, and deadlines.
- Comfortable with fast turnarounds and ever-changing client needs.
- You've scaled or restructured a content team, introduced new systems, and driven cultural or creative change.
- Strong understanding of on-set production practices, including lighting, sound, framing and direction.
- Skilled at building systems that scale from workflow templates to production calendars.
- Calm under pressure, with a solutions-first mindset.
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Understanding of how AI can help in the production process is a big plus.
- Experience aligning production with creative strategy and business goals - is a major advantage.
What you get when you join us:
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays: Plenty of time to recharge.
- Fully Remote Working: Work from wherever you're happiest in the UK (with access to a co-working space in major UK cities if you like a change of scene).
- Pension Scheme: Helping you invest in your future while you shape your present.
- Company Socials: From virtual hangouts to IRL meetups, we love bringing the team together.
- Creative Half-Days: Every quarter, take a half-day plus £50 to do something that inspires you - a class, gallery trip, pottery, spa, whatever frees your mind.
- Learning Fund: £200 a year towards books, audiobooks, courses or content that fuels your development.
- Bonus Leave Days: Birthday? Wedding? Moving house? Take the day off on us (no annual leave used).
What to expect in the recruitment process:
- Step 1: Apply - Show us who you are - apply via LinkedIn but if you also want to submit a cover letter, portfolio, a TikTok via tiktok@nonsensical.agency go for it!
- Step 2: Screening Call - A 20-30 minute chat with our People & Talent team to get to know you and answer any initial questions.
- Step 3: First Interview - A conversation with your potential manager diving into your experience, how you think about TikTok and client relationships.
- Step 4: Second Interview + Task - You'll complete a small strategic or creative task (nothing wild) and present it back to your potential manager and the Chief Content Officer, a chance to show how you think, lead and create.
