Role Overview

The LIVE Director is responsible for directing TikTok Shop livestreams in real time, ensuring the show maintains strong pacing, energy and commercial performance. You act as the on-set show director, guiding presenters and adapting the show based on audience engagement and product performance. This role requires strong commercial awareness, understanding how pacing, product focus and storytelling influence watch time, engagement and GMV (Gross Merchandise Value). While the production team manages cameras and technical setup, you are responsible for leading the live show itself.

Key Responsibilities

  • Live Broadcast Direction
  • Direct TikTok Shop livestreams in real time
  • Call the show and manage the Run of Show (ROS) throughout the LIVE
  • Provide clear cues and direction to presenters and creators during the stream
  • Maintain high energy, pacing and audience engagement
  • Commercial Performance Awareness
    • Monitor live GMV, engagement and product performance during the broadcast
    • Adjust product focus and storytelling based on real-time sales momentum
    • Ensure key product moments and CTAs are delivered effectively
    • Support pacing and structure that maximises watch time and conversion
