Nonna Tonda is a direct-to-customer delivery service that manufactures high-quality fresh pasta and sauces. We are looking for a packing manager to join and manage our packing team. We are looking for someone who has packing manager experience, good food safety knowledge, high attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and great teamwork skills, which are required for the role. Previous managerial experience is required. A forklift licence is preferred but not essential. The candidate will need to speak English fluently.

Paid breaks, free lunch each day, and 28 days of holiday per year.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Performance based bonus

Working hours: up to 50 hours per week over 5 days, including weekend work (Sunday - Thursday)

Responsibilities:

  • To manage and accurately pack products into boxes or containers, ensuring proper handling and protection during transit.
  • Maintain food safety and temperature controls on all food.
  • Inspect products for quality assurance before packing, identifying any defects or discrepancies.
  • Label packages clearly and correctly to facilitate smooth shipping processes.
  • Maintain an organized work area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
  • Assist in inventory management by keeping track of packed items and reporting any shortages or issues.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Food Packing Manager.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Capability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical stamina, as the role may require standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights.
  • Basic numeracy skills for counting and measuring items accurately.
  • A positive attitude towards work and a willingness to learn new skills.
