About the role:
- As a Network Modeller, you will be responsible for designing and developing models and analysis to identify value opportunities as part of the critical Operation Transformation Programme, playing a key role in shaping the future of Royal Mail.
- Design and develop strategic models and analytical tools to evaluate key business decisions and investments.
- Analyse and manipulate large quantities of data, often from different sources and turn it into clean information with which managers can take action.
- Evaluate new modelling techniques and software.
- Support a range of data and modelling activities, responding to multiple and sometimes urgent and competing demands.
- Present insights to senior stakeholders.
- Build key internal stakeholder relationships, particularly in Network Modelling, Data, Finance, Property and Operations.
About you:
- To be a success in this role you should be able to demonstrate experience of designing and building models used to evaluate key business decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel and Power BI (knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R would be highly desirable).
- Experience of presenting data to drive business decisions with key stakeholders.
- Proven experience of model governance & control.
- Experience of managing tasks/projects with aggressive deadlines/time-sensitivity.
- Experience of work with discretion in dealing with confidential information.
- Experience in logistics, or a desire to learn about the Logistics industry.
