An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Royal Mail as a Network Analyst. The Network Modelling team, within the wider Operations Strategy team, is responsible for developing models and analytical tools to support strategic network design projects.
As a Network Modelling Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering data analysis, visualisation & insights to identify value opportunities as part of the critical Operation Transformation Programme, playing a key role in shaping the future of Royal Mail.
About the role
• In this position you\'ll:
• Analyse and manipulate large quantities of data, often from different sources and turn it into clean information with which managers can take action
• Present insights to senior stakeholders, resulting from data analysis and visualisation of a large and complex environment
• Manage data collection and tracking to enable strategic modelling
• Developing bespoke dashboards to answer key strategic questions from senior stakeholders
• Build key internal stakeholder relationships particularly in modelling, data, finance, property to navigate systems and source data
About you
• Strong analytical and/or numerical background
• Experience of handling large data sets; analysis, data scrubbing, summarizing
• Skilled in analytics applications such as Python, R, Business Objects, Power BI & Qlik
• Data presentation; visualization, implication of insights & opportunities
• Ability to engage and involve others and be able to work across teams from different disciplines, functions and business units
• Good level of project/time management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills - in particular an ability to explain technical subjects to non-specialists and senior stakeholders
• A graduate qualification in a STEM subject or similar, or equivalent relevant experience
